What Is a Core Charge?
A core charge is a refundable deposit applied to certain parts — such as engines, transmissions and some rebuildable components. It encourages the return of the old (“core”) unit, which can be remanufactured. When your old unit is returned in acceptable condition, the core charge is refunded.
How Core Charges Work
- A core charge, where it applies, is shown separately from the part price.
- Return your old unit following the instructions provided with your order.
- Once inspected and accepted, the core charge is refunded.
